| Hello! I know it has been a while since I last updated. At our last summit in FL, we had internet but the church's internet filter would not let us access Xanga nor Facebook. Now this summit we have no internet but my host family is letting me use theirs. We are now in TN with the cooler weather. I now have to sympathize with my family( in MI ) with the cold weather. We just came from Miami, FL with the sunshine, warm weather 80's, sandals and beaches. It was WONDERFUL!! and yes I got sunburned. Aargh! Callie and I went to the beach. I still haven't learned that the south sun is hotter than the north. It wasn't near as bad as my last year's spring break sunburn, (which some of you may remember ) which I'm glad. Anyways, it's not bad here in TN actually. It's warmer now than when we first got here. It's supposed to get to 60's by Friday. I realize that this is a short update, but I will update more later, it's getting late. Just wanted you all to know that I am still here and that I'm doing well. Have a GREAT day!!! | | |
| Hey ya'll! I have been trying to download photos, but it is taking way too long. I guess ya'll have to wait until I get back on the road for pictures. Sorry! Anyways, break has been good! I have been able to spend a lot of time with my family. Usually I'm running around like crazy but not this break. It has been really nice. Our Christmas was good, even though we didn't have any snow. I don't like it without snow. It doesn't feel like Christmas. I really do hope that it snows one more time before I leave so that I can go snowmobiling. The only thing that I can think of that has been exciting around here over my break, is when my brother hit a deere with the Bravada.(The Bravada is a vehicle that we had for sale) Anyways, last week, one of my brothers was driving it from my grandparent's house at 10:30 at night, when this deere came bounding in front of them. No worries though, the deere didn't go to waste. It's in our freezer. The Bravada didn't suffer too much. It's mainly the front that got it bad. It's repairable, it will just affect buyers buying it. I'm not too concerned b/c I know that God will provide. It's hard to believe that I only have one more week of break left. Although I am very excited about being able to see some of the Silver team members next Wed. They have to be at camp the same day we do. Ya!!!! Well, not much going on right now. Just wanted ya'll to know that I'm doing well. I hope that you had a Merry Christmas and may you have a Happy New Year!!!! | | |
| Hey Ya'll!! I'm here in IL for our last summit before Christmas break. This is actually a follow up summit because the red team was here a year ago. It's going really well. Happiness Club is great! It's a lively and fun group. We are right outside St. Louis, so Callie and I have been able to see Mark Gallo a couple times. (For those that don't know I traveled with Mark for 2 yrs on Silver, he's now going to college in St. Louis) It has been really good to see him again. Our Thanksgiving break went pretty well. We ended up going to Tuscaloosa, AL to a camp. It was nice. This place was in the woods, so it was beautiful outside. There was a lake and swings. I loved it!! Other than that not a whole lot going on. I'm excited to be seeing my family soon. Actually Larina is going to be driving down here to IL tomorrow and staying with me for 6 days. I'm excited. This will be the first time that she has come to stay with me during a summit. Yeah!!! Well, I'll post some more pictures later. See Ya! | | |
| Hey ya'll!! I am in Georgia!! Ya still in the south!! With all the sweet tea! Our summit is going really well. We're on our first Thursday here and God has been doing a LOT already! It's so exciting!!! Our club is small here. We're averaging about 4 kids. It is an adjustment from the last 2 summits having 20 kids, but it is still a good group and I'm looking forward to see what God is going to do. My host home is great as well!! It is hard to believe that it is almost Thanksgiving then it will be Christmas. Ya! I'm excited!!! I can't wait to see my family!!! I really don't know what our team is doing for our Thanksgiving break yet, but I'm sure that it will be fun! God is doing a lot in my life!! Whoo! It has been a neat journey but it has also been very difficult! God has shown me His goodness and faithfulness. He is good!!! Here are some more pictures from our Roanoke, Va. Here is MaryBeth, me, Melody, and Chris G. Our wonderful group of kids in Roanoke, VA

| Hi ya'll!! We're in the south!!! Yeah!!! I love it down here. It's not the real south but its almost there. We're in Roanoke, VA right now. It's going pretty well so far. In Happiness Club we're averaging about 18 kids. I love having these big groups. I'm attaching some more pictures from our mud running and pictures from our last church. I finally got them downloaded.
As you can see the more the buggy went out the worse they came back. The people on the buggy are my brother Elden, Nathan Roth, Kristen Bain,&Mary Beth Handley. Shawna and Callie got a pie in the face for Happiness Club. Hope you all enjoy the pictures!!! Message for Silver Team. PLEASE come and visit. I miss you all a LOT!!!! | | |
